The most dominant feature of Death Valley National Park for me is the tremendous amount of sunlight that floods the valley floor. To further emphasize texture, I used a sharp f-stop on the lens (f/32) and a substantial amount of lens tilt to make sure that the entire scene from foreground to distant hills were sharply focused.
